FOOD AT MASIA CAL PAU CRUSET

Our Philosophy:

We believe that the most important ingredients to good food are: love, dedication, creativity, happiness, generosity and olive oil.....;)

We realize the importance of good, healty and tastful food while you stay with us and offer delicious dishes for our guests. The meals we offer are prepared with fresh, seasonal, and, for the most part, locally grown, produce. The meals we prepare can be characterized as ā€œ Meditaranean-Asian Fusionā€: we offer Spanish, catalan and italian, greek and morocan, indian and indonesian dishes. We offer vegetarian as well as dishes with fish or meat.

We only use fresh ingredients and everything is prepared on the spot, using olive oil (if possible from our own olive trees) and fresh spices. We buy at the local markets preferably from local vendors.

We have a small vegetable garden so you might eat our own tomatoes, wild spinach, lettuces or peppers. In addition we have organic almond, cherry, apple, nisperos, kaki, plum and lemon trees, in addition to 3 hectares of vinayards. We make our own chutneys out of nisperos and grapes. Bottle our cherries so they last over the winter, roast our almonds and make marmelades that our guests can buy.

Your cherry crumble cake even in winter will have our own cherries in them, and our almond cakes will have our own grated almonds. We pick rosemary and thyme in the hills behind the house and have mint, basil, salvia, oregano and other aromatic plants in our gardens. Lavender from our garden you might find in little bags in your pillows or in our home made massage oils or soaps which are also for sale for our clients.
