Cal Pau Cruset is a beautiful and traditional Catalan farmhouse dating over 150 years that has been completely renovated. Situated among vineyards in the Alt Penedes, the town of Torrelles de Foix is a region famous for its wines and champagnes. It is an inspiring, idyllic and peaceful place that can accomodate yoga retreats, meditation groups and workshops of all varieties Equally it is the perfect location to write, create art or simply take a break from everyday life in the city; the calm and beauty of the vineyards that surround the house, make it a special place to disconnect from the urban bustle.
The grounds accomodate a relaxation area with gardens, swimming pool, barbecue, jacuzzi, sauna, sunbeds and a small bar to enjoy your stay.
With ample parking for your convenience, getting here is easy via road, train or even plane from Barcelona airport. The local train station Vilafranca del Penedes is well connected to the rail network and we also offer a pick up service from the station.
The Surroundings:
Located in the middle of vineyards and palm trees near Sant MartĆ Sarroca, we are in the heart of the Penedes and just 50 minutes southeast of Barcelona. Our valley enjoys a micro-climate that allows you to enjoy plenty of light, sun and heat throughout most of the year. Thus, the wonderful landscape of Cal Pau Cruset invites you to turn inward and enjoy a moment of peace; or, for our more adventurous guests the area also offers a wide variety of cultural and outdoor activities.
Indeed, the roaming landscape of Vilafranca can be seen from the garden of the house where, on the north side, lies the forest āTorres de Foixā and, to the south lies the castle of Sant Marti with its historic chapel. ItĀ“s a beautiful area with everything to offer from hiking to wine tasting, and you can even rent a bike from the local village of Sant MartĆ (3 kilometers away).
We recommend our guests bring a car to explore the area, especially as Vilafranca is only 10 minutes away and has lots to offer from cinemas to large outdoor markets every Saturday in which you can buy fresh, local produce.
Moreover, we are only 50 minutes from Barcelona and 40 to Tarragona.
Whilst the neighbouring MasiaĀ“s are visible, the secluded position of Cal Pau Cruset means your always far enough away to enjoy your own privacy. Indeed, one of the best things of the house is its location, as you can escape the noise of the city whilst knowing there are 5 villages within 45 minutes drive for lunch or entertainment.
